With so much bad music circulating and ultimately finding its way into my inbox, good, real hip hop has become a breath of fresh air that I seldom receive. This album encompasses that rutilant factor that I love to find. Searching the web for good hip hop has been a hobby in the making for me. I feel like I did a good job since I found these guys just before I saw that they sent a submission. It’s real recognize real in a sense. Well anyway, they are a rapper and a rapper/producer that have spent five years working on this album. If you’re an underground head, you probably don’t mind the time that it takes for an artist to craft an album. The mainstream fans expect an album a year with at least a mixtape or two or else they are angry. The crafting of a quality album isn’t an easy task. Especially one that keeps your head nodding from beginning to end. Sufficient lines and a great flow keep the hold the album together. I enjoy when a rapper can use an intense vocabulary and complex lines but it’s all gravy when a rapper can keep his lines short and sweet too. Both emcees often rely on the simple rhyme pattern that I just mentioned and they execute as if they have been rapping for 15 years. The boom bap quality lives in this project and it something you should definitely go check out.
